1. Title: Rectifiers and DC Regulators
2. Introduction
The goal of this lab was to be familiar with the Rectifiers and DC
Regulators and to be able to design a DC power supply.
3. Materials and Methods
- Resistors
- Function Generator
- Diodes
- Wires
- Breadboard
- Multimeter
- KompoZer
- Capacitors
- FileZilla
First, for task 1. we built the circuit on LT Spice to find out the
built-in potential. For task 1.2 we set the build-in potential to .6 Figure 1. Intask
1.3 and we used a 1N 5767 and 1K resistor to set the same circuit
Figure 1.3. In task 2 and 3, we simulate the circuit given on LT Spice
and on the breadboard(Figure 3). For 3.2, we used ziner Diodes
and a resistor to managed the voltege Built-in to be 10. LT Spice was
used and a breadboard(Fihure 6). Finally, for task 4 we used the
circuit given to make a voltage doubler in LT Spice and breadboard.

5. Discussion.
In this lab we
got only half of the wave being rectifying. We
modified the built-in potential to .6V and we showed similar results
from the breadboard built. In task two we got a nice line as a signal,
closed to beind a DC signal by using the diode and capacitor(low pass).
In task 3 we simulate the circuit given and understood how the diode is
trying to change the signal from AC to DC on both sides. On task four
our circuit had 2 zener diodes that regulale the AC signal to become
closer to DC and also protect the circuit from voltages larger than
10V. And for the last task, we succesfully create a hogh-DC voltage
using a voltage doubler using a high pass and a low pass diode and cap
systems. We only repeated this two times for the safety reasons.
