1. Introduction ot ElectricVLSI, laying out a N-Well Resistor and building a Voltage Divider
2. Introduction
The purpos of this lab was to give an introduction to ElectricVLSI
software and the process of design process involved with building
semi conductors by designing a voltage divider.
3. Materials and Methods
ElectricVLSI was used for designing the circuit and LT Spice was used to annalize the circuit. The ElectricVLSI
software had to set up to interface with LT Spice and with the
parameters to build a C5 semiconductor. Once the configuration of the
software was completed a circuit was designed in ElectricVLSI
comprised of two resistors, creating a voltage divider. The circuit was
drawn in layout view, representing the actual N-well configuration. The
circuit was then simulated in LT Spice with a transient annalysis for 1
sec and DC votage in of 1V.
4. Results

Figure 1: The layout view of the voltage divider

Figure 2: The LT Spice simulation of the circuit
5. Discussion
The results of the simulation showed the expected
behavour of the voltage divider. One very important take home of this
lab to understand the directory configuration required to run and save
files and run simmulations with LT Spice ElectricVLSI.
Another important takehome was to run error checks on the
circuit as it was being built. This saves a tremendous amout of time
having to back track and fix errors later and the circuit continues to
grow, and the errors become more difficult to track down and find.
Future labs will build upon this circuit and the knoledge gained from
building this voltage divider.
