1. Lab 4 An Oximeter
2. Introduction
The purpose of this lab is to measure our pulse using an oximeter

3. Materials and Methods
To build the circuit for this lab, two capacitors, five resistors, one 1N4370 zener diode, two 1NA 128 PA instrument amp, a 741 op amp, a LED light, and IR pair were used. The data sheets for the IR pair and the amplifiers were looked up to make sure they were being used correctly. The circuit was hooked up to the function generator to see if the pulse was being measured. Once that worked a code was written in Ardino and the signal was measured and recorded in that aswell.

4. Results

Figure 1: The signal of the pulse shown in the function generator

Figure 2: A video of the pulse in ardino

Figure 3: The circuit on the bread board that amplifies the signal of the pulse

5. Discussion
This lab utilized three different amplifiers, a high pass filter and a low pass filter to measure our heart beat. The TCRT5000 IR pair was used to actually measure the heart beat and the rest of the circuit was used to amplify the signal so it was visible.
