1. Lab 4 Soldering
2. Introduction:
The purpose of this lab was to familiarized students with soldering and reading circut schematics. Students will then apply these practiced skills to soldering a SMT to the pads on a PCB. These skill will be needed in subsquent labs when designing the PCB for the robot car and cons.

3.
Materials
Temp controlled Soldering iron
Jumper cables
Rosin core solder
Flux
Photo resistor
1k resistor
10k resistor
10k Potentiometer
9V voltage source
741 op. Amp.
PCB
SMT resistor
IC socket
LED

Methods:
A circut was built following the diagram provided. It was then tested where the result was the power status of an LED. Then a SMT was solderd to a PCB then desoldered.

4. Results:

Video 1. LED turning on and off by rotating 10k Potentiometer.

Video 2. Soldering SMT to PCB

Video 3. Desoldering SMT from PCB

5. Discussion
Once all the components were mounted on the circut board the trouble shooting process was conducted by following the outside circut for correct connections then following inner circuts to ensure a proper connection.
