1. Title:     An Oximeter

2. Introduction
In this lab we will obtain a signal created by a heart beat. we will get a reading on our finger tip and process this signal to get a clean and clear lecture using a few different technics.

3. Materials and Methods
Arduino
Resistors
TCRT5000 IR
Resistors
Wires
Breadboard
KompoZer
Multimeter
Amplifiers
Analog Digital Converter
Capacitors
Oscilloscope
FileZilla LEDs

First, for task 1. we built the circuit on Figure 1 on the breadboard and compared input and output using an oscilloscope. For task 2. We measured the heartbeat and used Ardino as an alternative source.

4. Results

Figure 1 Original circuit to fallow and the breadboard operating(light on due to the xtreme sensitive sensor).

Figure 2 Code in arduino

Video 1 Heart beat

5. Discussion.

In this lab we put in practice what we have seen in class until now, how a real signal can be obtain, filter out and read its parameters. The oximeter is a practical example of how powerfull a simple idea can monitor people's heart rate.
